Residents of the territories of Luhansk region, which fell under the occupation of Russia in local Telegram channels complain about the substantial increase in prices, which affected all groups of goods. The rise in prices is primarily due to the change in the “exchange rate” as well as the deficit of some goods and the increase in prices for Russian products, which make up the majority of today’s assortment. On June 25, the so-called “National Bank of LNR” set a “new exchange rate” according to which one Ukrainian hryvnia costs 1.5 rubles (before that the rate was 1:2).
