300 cats and 150 dogs. In the first days of the war, Vira and Valery Petrykovich set out to rescue abandoned pets from bombardments. They sheltered all animals at their home, feeding and hiding them in the basement. Eventually, they found veterinarians who helped the couple treat, vaccinate and sterilize the animals. Now volunteers are dreaming of creating a cozy shelter for the four-legged friends.
