Destroyed Russian equipment near Chernihiv. The blockade of Chernihiv began on the first day of the Russian attack on Ukraine and lasted for about 40 days. The Armed Forces and the Territorial Defense heroically defended the city from the invaders. The villages closest to the city suffered the most. But we persevered, and the occupiers fled under the onslaught of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Active battles for the liberation of the city took place in the area of the villages of Yahidne, Ivanivka, Lukashivka, and Sloboda. During the entire period of the war, Ukrainian defenders destroyed a large amount of Russian equipment, which still remains as ghosts of the war in the villages of Chernihiv region.
