On the morning of August 19, Russian rockets shelled 3 residential areas of Kharkiv. Around 5:50 in the morning, the Russian army launched a rocket attack on a higher education institution in the Kyiv district of Kharkiv, which led to its partial destruction. A 52-year-old woman, who worked as a security guard at the specified educational institution, died. In the Nemyshlyan district, the Russian army shelled a residential quarter. An enemy shell hit between the five-story building and the tire shop. The windows of the house were broken, and the cars of the residents in the yard were damaged. The occupiers also fired two rockets at an enterprise in the Osnovyansky District of Kharkiv. Complete destruction of two shops was recorded. According to preliminary data, the occupiers fired S-300 missiles from the territory of the Belgorod region of the Russian Federation at all three districts of the city of Kharkiv. – This is Russia, they don’t care how many people die, they don’t care what grief their strikes will bring. They do not aim precisely at military targets, these hits do not have any significance at all – noted the head of the Main Directorate of the National Police in the Kharkiv region, Volodymyr Tymoshko. – Therefore, I’m sure that their main goal is to terrorize the local population. Their main desire is to squeeze local residents out of the city, to make the best possible impression.
