Around 11:00 p.m. on August 23, 2022, Russian troops shelled the city of Kharkiv yet again. In the evening, all residents of Kharkiv heard an explosion in the center of the city. Fortunately, there were no casualties. After the fire, fragments of a rocket – an “Iskander” according to the preliminary data – were found in an attic. Many people noticed that the building was not destroyed. The reason was the rocket having exploded in the air, most likely, due to a malfunction. Investigators are working on the spot, removing all the debris, recording all the facts for the future trial of the Russian army. As reported by the State Emergency Service regional office, about hundred rescuers extinguished fire in a three-story residential building wooden roof structures, ceilings and internal partitions. The fire was stopped in time, and did not spread to other premises.
