On August 30, around 10:00 a.m., the Russian military made about nine strikes on the city center. Shells hit a five-story residential building, a preschool, one of Kharkiv’s markets, and a recreation park. As a result of the hits, fires started, buildings, the surrounding area were destroyed, and cars were damaged. Unfortunately, 5 people died – two 20-year-old boys, a 40-year-old man, a 50-year-old woman and a 40-year-old woman in the hospital two hours later. Also, 11 victims – explosive injuries, shrapnel injuries. During the inspection, according to preliminary data, metal fragments of the 203 mm Pion self-propelled gun artillery, which is designed to suppress the rear, destroy particularly important objects and means of nuclear attack, were discovered and removed.
