Donetsk police evacuated 6,500 boys and girls. Over the course of a month, the police rescued more than 1,900 families with many children who found themselves in difficult circumstances. All children received housing in safer regions of Ukraine or abroad and the opportunity to study. To calm the little one during the evacuation, the policemen take with them the dachshund Rem. Playing with a dog distracts children from homesickness.
