On 9 September 2022, five populated places in the Polohy district came under the Russian army fire. Houses, high-rise buildings and other civil infrastructure facilities were reported to be destroyed in Orikhiv district and Mala Tokmachka village. As a result of the shelling, people received injuries of varying degrees of severity. One person died. As a result of the several-days artillery shelling of Huliaipole, residential buildings, a store, and several buildings on the territory of a local kindergarten were damaged. In the villages of Rivnopillia and Yablokove the enemy almost destroyed residents’ houses, farm buildings and backyard territory. A resident of Rivnopillia received shrapnel wounds incompatible with life.
