On 12 September 2022, Nikopol district came under fire three times. The Russian army targeted three communities: Nikopol, Marhanets and Chervonohryhorivka. There were no casualties or injuries. Private houses, a lyceum and power grids were damaged. The scale of the destruction is being clarified.
