On the night of 21 September 2022, Russian heavy artillery shelled two districts of the Dnipropetrovsk region – Nikopol and Kryvyi Rih. A 56-year-old man was wounded. Nikopol was shelled twice, with 30 shells landed there. In the city, more than 20 high-rise buildings and private houses, cars, gas transporting pipes and power lines were damaged. A bread baking plant, a kindergarten, a library, and several shops were mutilated. As a result of the shelling, fire broke out in an apartment and in a private yard. Late in the evening on 20 September, the Zelenodolsk community in the Kryvyi Rih district was shelled, but people were not harmed. Several private houses were damaged in Velyka Kostromka. 350 families were left without electricity.
