The destroyed city of Izium. Almost every building is damaged or completely destroyed. The infrastructure is also severely damaged. There is no electricity, Internet, mobile communication, no drinking water. ATMs, banks, and shops do not work. Hospitals and schools are in ruins. All bridges and roads are either destroyed or damaged. The city is still heavily mined. The death toll from landmines is increasing, and it will take decades to clear them. This is the Russian occupation legacy. Izium was liberated on 10 September after 6 months of Russian occupation. Many hungry and exhausted residents remained in the city. They lost everything and now spend their days in queues for humanitarian aid.
