On September 12th, 2022, the Ukrainian army freed the town of Sviatohirsk. At dawn, fighters from the Kulchytskyi battalion crossed the Donets river in boats and drew the Russian soldiers out. Hundreds of civilians lived there for three months under Russian occupation with no water, electricity, or gas, and only one working pharmacy. Now, they worry about the cold winter months and the risk of being caught in the line of fire again.
