On October 12, prosecutors conducted an additional inspection of the convoy of cars that was shot by the Russian military at the end of September near the village of Kurylivka in the Kupiansk district. 24 people died, including a pregnant woman and 13 children. During the additional inspection, the law enforcement officers discovered the 25th victim of brutal Russian terror — a 75-year-old woman. According to preliminary data, after the shooting of the motorcade, she crawled about 200 meters in the direction of the village of Kupiansk-Vuzlovyi and died on landing. The body of the deceased was sent for a forensic medical examination. The work of prosecutors and investigators is complicated by constant shelling by the Russian army in the specified area. In addition, law enforcement officers found a probable ambush site from where Russian soldiers fired at the convoy, and documents of Russian soldiers.

On October 17, law enforcement officers of the Kharkiv region, taking into account the testimony of witnesses, discovered the 26th victim of brutal Russian terror — a 19-year-old boy. According to preliminary data, after the shooting of the motorcade, he was wounded, walked about 1.5 km and died on landing. The body of the deceased was sent for a forensic medical examination. In addition, it was established that two children managed to escape during the shooting — a 1.1-year-old boy and a 5.5-year-old girl. Their parents died. The children were saved by caring passers-by. Thanks to the prosecutors of the Kharkiv Region, who appealed to the Red Cross Society of Ukraine, the children are safe and have already been handed over to their grandmothers.
