The police opened 97 criminal proceedings in total on the facts of war crimes committed by the Russian military in the Kherson region on October 14-17.
The Russians attacked the communities of the Beryslav district. Peaceful villages adjacent to the front line were massively shelled by the enemy with the BM-21 “Grad”, heavy artillery and mortar fire. Private houses and farm buildings were damaged, fires broke out. As a result of the shelling, transformer substations, grain elevator and equipment of mobile communication base stations were damaged. A church, pharmacy, private houses, garages, two stables, farms, warehouses, sheds with agricultural machinery and the roadway were damaged or destroyed. Unfortunately, there are casualties among the civilian population. Some civilians were wounded, people were cut by shell fragments while they were in their yards or gardens.
