On October 18, around 8:20 a.m., the russian military launched a missile attack on two districts of Kharkiv. As a result of the shelling, infrastructure facilities, private houses, warehouses, and cars were damaged. In the Slobidskyi district fragments of a downed rocket fell on the asphalt surface near the entrance to a residential high-rise building. In the Osnovianskyi district, numerous warehouses with food and private cars were damaged. Humanitarian warehouses with humanitarian aid for Kharkiv and the Kharkiv region were destroyed. The area of ​​the fire was about 150 square meters. Fragments of 5B55 missiles of the S-300 missile complex were recovered from the sites of missile strikes.
