In Mariupol, the russians demolished a monument to the victims of the Holodomor. It was erected in 2004 near the Drama Theater. They called it a symbol of “disinformation at the state level”.
Russian propaganda is justifying the vandalism by stating that it was not Ukraine and Donbas that suffered the most from the famine of 1933, Ukraine ranks second to last in terms of the number of victims. It is noted that the occupation authorities announced that the granite would be processed into building materials.
