In the Donetsk region, the police together with volunteers rescued two children who were orphaned due to Russian aggression. The children’s father was killed by an enemy shell that exploded in a private yard. At that moment, the brother and sister were in the house and miraculously survived. Law enforcement officers, volunteers, and hospital workers took the children out of the shelling. Currently, 9-year-old Andrii and 10-year-old Olia are in a safe place, their aunt took them. The family lived in the village of Torske in the Lyman community. The settlement suffers almost daily attacks from the occupiers. The police regularly came to the family with a request to evacuate, the last time was a week ago, but the father refused.
