On November 2, the Kherson region Prosecutor’s office jointly with police investigators and criminologists exhumed and examined the bodies of the two Beryslav district residents killed by the Russian military. Bodies bore signs of violent death. According to the investigation, on June 1, 2022, during the occupation of the village of Vysokopillia, a soldier of the Russian army shot an unarmed local married couple in their own yard. They died on the spot from gunshot wounds. Later, the man and woman were buried by fellow villagers in the local cemetery.
On November 4, prosecutors, together with police officers, discovered three more bodies with signs of violent death in the village of Vysokopillia. According to the preliminary version of the investigation, during the occupation of the settlement, the Russian military shot three civilians and buried them near their homes. The bodies have been sent for forensic examination.
