The village of Shyroke, in the Mykolaiv Oblast, was liberated in April, but until November 2022 it was mercilessly shelled by the Russian army. Most of the villagers evacuated, but about 20 people has remained in the village all this time. Almost all the houses in the village suffered significant damage. Local residents are returning with the hope of somehow preparing and protecting their homes before winter.
