In the area of the bridge over the Kalchyk River on M. Mazaia Street, the russians dismantled an artificial hydrotechnical structure (simply speaking a mini-dam made of bricks), which ensured the appropriate level of the Kalchyk River and, most importantly, the necessary flow rate to avoid waterlogging of the river in the urban part. This dam was built 15-20 years ago during the construction of “Extreme Park” and improvement of Luhopark. Now it is destroyed. The river got swamp color, the flow has slowed down and the river is turning into a swamp. The stench of decay covers the entire passage of the river in the city. It is an environmental crime. In addition to the destruction of the city’s natural hydraulic system, there is a decrease in the flow of fresh water to Azov.
