The prosecutor’s office submitted to the court the case regarding four Russian war criminals who tortured the participants of the anti-terrorist operation. The pre-trial investigation established that at the beginning of September 2022, during the occupation of Borova town of in the Izium district, two mercenaries of a private military company and two servicemen of the 16th Special Brigade of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation tortured three participants of the anti-terrorist operation. Each of the Ukrainian soldiers was subjected to brutal torture by the Russian occupiers. Russian mercenaries put plastic ties on the men’s hands and bags on their heads. After that, they kidnapped them and kept them in a pit at the “Svitlo Shakhtaria” recreation center.
