On December 8, around 21:00, the Russian military shelled Kotliary village residential sector. Two women aged 41 and 44 were injured. A 40-year-old male civilian died. A number of residential buildings, farm buildings and private cars were damaged. Previously, the Russian troops shelled the settlement with the “Smerch” anti-aircraft missile system. Around 9:05 p.m., the Russian armed forces launched a rocket attack on the Pisochyn community; private homes were damaged. According to preliminary information, the military of the Russian Armed Forces used the “S-300” air defense system. On December 8, the Russian military shelled the city of Kupiansk once again. A 55-year-old resident was injured. As a result of the Russian shelling, the warehouses of the food enterprise were on fire.
