In the village of Bohorodychne, which was bombed by the occupiers, the bodies of local residents were exhumed. During the survey of the Sviatohirsk community of the Kramatorsk district, which in 2022 was partially under the temporary control of the Russian occupiers, the location of eight civilian burials was identified. The de-occupied village of Bohorodychne which borders the city of Sviatohirsk was for a long time one of the most important Ukrainian lines of defense. The settlement was almost completely destroyed by the occupiers. Many people did not survive the shelling and destruction. Relatives and neighbours wrapped the bodies in carpets and blankets and buried them in pits along streets and in nearby yards. From graves dated May through July of last year, law enforcement exhumed bodies of five men and two women ranging from 60 to 72 years old. Identities of two additional deceased have yet to be established.
